    Though the museum galleries are closed to the public in January, we continue to offer Glass Experiences on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout the month of January.

Plan on staying 60-90 minutes. No admission less than a half hour prior to closing.

Card to Culture Discount

The Sandwich Glass Museum is proud to participate in the Card to Culture program, a collaboration between Mass Cultural Council and the Department of Transitional Assistance, the Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Nutrition Program, and the Massachusetts Health Connector, designed to broaden accessibility to cultural programming.

EBTWIC, and ConnectorCare cardholders can purchase discounted admission tickets for $5 per person; children 14 and under are free.

Bus tours and group rates

We are happy to offer discount admission prices to groups of 6 persons or more.

The Museum is handicap accessible.

  • There are clearly marked spaces reserved for handicapped parking

  • The museum is all on one level with no interior stairs or ramps

PLANNING YOUR STAY

The Sandwich Chamber of Commerce has an informative site with suggestions on where to stay and dine while visiting the town of Sandwich.

DIRECTIONS

The Sandwich Glass Museum is located at 129 Main Street, Sandwich, MA 02563, opposite Old Town Hall. The parking lot and entrance are located just around the corner on Tupper Road.

From the Mid-Cape Highway (Rte.6):

Take exit 59 for MA-130 N toward Sandwich

Turn left onto MA-130 N from the highway exit ramp

Follow MA-130 for 1.4 miles (about 3 minutes)

You will see the Glass Museum on the right hand side. Drive past the museum and turn right onto Tupper Road

The parking lot and museum main entrance will be on your right immediately after turning onto Tupper Road

From Rte. 28:

From the Sagamore Bridge/Bourne take Route 6A East to Route 130 (turn right) – Continue on 130 South for about 3 miles. The Museum will be on your left directly opposite the Old Town Hall – at the corner of 130 and Tupper Road. Entrance is located on Tupper Road.

From Boston and points north:

Take Rte. 3 south across the Sagamore Bridge. Route 3 becomes Rte. 6 at the bridge. Follow the directions from the Mid-Cape Highway. Allow one hour from downtown Boston in normal traffic.

From Providence and points west:

Take Interstate 195 to its termination at Rte. 25 and follow the signs to Cape Cod. Cross the Bourne Bridge and circle the rotary to the third road (Sandwich Road) and head north along the canal. Follow the signs to Rte. 6 just before the Sagamore Bridge. Follow the directions from the Mid-Cape Highway. Allow one hour from Providence and 30 minutes from New Bedford.
